Sbyke USA, Inc.
Bart and Steve Wilson have designed a unique hybrid that is ready to rock the scooter world. Taking inspiration from skateboards and BMX bikes, they've created an original rear-steering scooter called the Sbyke (pronounced "spike").
The Sbyke has a fixed-position front wheel and can stand upright without the need for a kickstand. Weather it be the wear and tear of the skate park, university campus or racetrack, the Sbyke features an aluminum frame made from aircraft-grade materials that’s built to last. The interchangeable stem lengths accommodate different-sized riders and handlebars include a hand brake. The lightweight front wheel rim is fitted with a high pressure racing tire and the wide deck caters for side-by-side foot placement.
The Sbyke passed rigorous testing before being granted its US Patent. Preproduction is underway and Sbyke will launch with a retail price of $249.99. It can be found on the same aisle as bicycles, skateboards and scooters.
The Wilson brothers have a strong racing pedigree. Their father was USAC Midget and Indy racing driver Dempsey Wilson and their first company was Racing Optics Inc, the world's largest manufacturer of laminated tearoffs.
Sbyke has already joined forces with Ricky Carmichael who is currently the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver and can already be seen in the racing pits.
Sbyke will be flying off the shelves in the same way it is cruising around town. This new product combines the best elements of biking and skateboarding. It is an undiscovered culture for a new generation of athletes, eco-enthusiasts, kids, families and students. Soon you’ll see it parked in bike stands or sitting in classes next to students. It will be placed in the trunk for a trip to the soccer field. It may even be hidden in a cubicle at work. "SBYKE, GO ANYWHERE"
